"Marlo Harris is one of the best and strongest women I know. She has been like a second mother to me since I was 12 years old. She has seen me at my best and my worst moments and has always loved me the same. She is a spitting image of hard work, perseverance, and humility. She is someone I have always and will always continue to look up to as a teacher and role model."

“Marlo has been instrumental in my daughters growth as a dancer! She has taught her so much and continues to be a light in her life. From the honest critiques to the positive vibes provided during instruction, Marlo makes sure that the students feel free to explore their own dance styles while giving them the tools to excel. She creates a safe environment for her students, and loves them as her own. We are so grateful for everything she has done, and excited to see where Marlo can take Paisley in her dancing journey!”

"I met Marlo Harris in 2019 as a first year teacher at High Point Academy. Marlo being the Dance Company Director and high school dance educator, and myself being the new middle school dance educator. Marlo quickly became a mentor and close friend to me. Throughout the 3 years I worked with her, she has helped me grow not only as a dance educator but as a performer. She encouraged me to follow my dreams, and inspired me in the ways she cultivates safety and passion in the dance classroom. The way she runs her dance classroom not only produces strong technical dancers, but encourages self expression of aspiring choreographers! Marlo creates opportunities for her artists to explore real world and personal narratives through movement. Encouraging her students to use dance movement as a form of expression. Marlo has created a concert dance program in the state of Texas where not many exist. She has given her dancers the opportunity to create and learn in a professional dance company environment, setting her dancers up for success post Highschool graduation. I am so grateful to have Marlo Harris as a friend and mentor, and I am so thankful for all the knowledge and joy of dance she has and will continue to share with me."

“Marlo is not just an educator of dance. She defines the type of instructor you want in your child’s corner daily. She has dedicated her life to the art and pours it into our kids, teaching them the history of dance and how they can apply dance in their daily mindset, all while introducing every genre to them and nurturing their love and passion for dance. I have personally witnessed so many kids, including my own, thrive in dance and other areas of their lives because of what Marlo instills in them when they are in her class.”

“Ms. Harris is a knowledgeable teacher, creative artist, and devoted mentor. She has been the most influential voice during my time as a dancer and choreographer. She knows exactly how to get through to individuals and how to shape a winning team. Not only does Ms. Harris respect dance as an art, she respects dancers as artists—instilling in them a love of creating that lasts a lifetime. I would never have continued dancing or even thought about attempting to choreograph had it not been for her infectious joy and passion for dance. Even now that I have graduated, I am so thankful to have Ms. Harris in my life as a both a friend and mentor.”
